This is a question that experts may not have an exact answer to just yet. Because they are so reserved and private, it can be difficult for other people to get to know INFPs. They tend to be quite devoted to their circle of close friends and family and place high importance on the feelings and emotions of their loved ones.

I’m the co-founder of So Syncd, the first-of-its-kind dating app and website that matches you based on your Myers & Briggs personality type. Lately, we’ve actually seen an increase in the amount of time people have been spending on the site — even introverts. So, here’s why you can — and should — keep dating, even during social distancing.

I owe the Briggs Myers system for some of this romantic success. The idea for So Syncd was born when Jessica (personality type INFP – the introvert of the two), broke up with a long-term partner and wanted to understand what went wrong. She had been working at an investment bank for five years and decided to take a year out to travel and learn about personality type compatibility. “We match people who have just the right amount of similarities to form a strong connection and just the right amount of differences to create that spark,” explains Louella, COO and co-founder of So Syncd. “We’ve been studying personality type compatibility for three years now and that’s what we’ve found works best.” Navigating the world of dating apps can sometimes be disheartening, but let’s be honest — most people see it as a necessary evil.

INTJs are introverted to a fault.

They read others well and easily “see behind the mask” that people unconsciously wear; ironically, however, INFJs may struggle to understand themselves. Their reactions and behavior sometimes confuse even their own sharp intuition. Can your Myers-Briggs® type predict who you’ll get along with?

How the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Works

They enjoy thinking about possibilities, imagining the future, and abstract theories. It isn’t a tool designed famous people on FindLover to look for dysfunction or abnormality. Instead, its goal is simply to help you learn more about yourself.

The negative traits you probably never knew.

While most other types desire power from others, ISTPs thrive on avoiding these dynamics altogether, keeping themselves free from obligation and plans. If there’s a disagreement in your friend group, you can find the ISTP artfully avoiding any part in it, hiding in the kitchen and remaining on good terms with everyone involved. In groups, the ISTP is never the one volunteering to lead—the most engaged they typically get is offering a generally spot-on suggestion from the back and then not bothering to see if anyone heard them.

Both emotional and rational

Likewise, neither type demands a ton of emotional feedback in order to feel satisfied in their relationship, which is a major plus. It’s the first website and app of its kind and is ready to use now. In the end, the MBTI is meant to be descriptive, not predictive. It consolidates all the preferences you give it into a simple-to-understand label.

These traits include creativity, a caring nature, empathy, a strong Feeling side, the goal to make a difference, and a love of intellectual conversation and debate. In a way, it almost felt like a combination I couldn’t articulate before seeing my results, and it highlights that I’ve yet to date an ENFJ. The MBTI uses four scales to categorize a person’s personality based on their decision making behavior, preferences, and worldviews.

You work on friendships — until one of them takes you by surprise and becomes something more. You will date a lot, and tend to go along with anyone who is warm, open, and seemingly interested in getting to know you on a deeper level. Although you give endlessly to your relationships, you always harbor the hope that someone will invest in you as much as you invest in them, and surprise you in all the small ways that prove they really care. You’re perfectly content alone, doing your own thing and following your own path — but you’re always open to the excitement of someone who triggers your emotional side.

But the flip side is because the ISTJ follows an orderly life and keeps the rules, they expect that everyone around them will too. We got experts to weigh in on how classic personality traits translate to remote work. Remember, all people at least spend some time engaged in extraverted activities. The judging-perceiving scale helps describe whether you behave like an extravert when you are taking in new information or when you are making decisions . In any other situation, defending yourself until you’re blue in the face would seem admirable — as long as what you’re defending makes sense.

As a workaround, Melissa and Monica share their agenda with Max so he can choose which activities he’d like to participate in, but also know that he needs that flexibility in his schedule to be happy. There’s a new level of relational connection that gets unlocked when you learn your personality type – and the types of the people closest to you. Despite its limits as a valid personality assessment, the Myers-Briggs can be a valuable tool for self-reflection. Taking a fun personality test can serve as a starting point for people to consider how they view their personality, how human behavior can vary, and how they relate to others in their life. The MBTI can provide an initial vocabulary from which to expand. Although your focus is internal, you’re so nurturing in nature that you’re even known as “The Nurturer.” You learn best by being hands-on and have an unbelievable capacity for memory.

Furthermore, their communication style lends itself to understanding your deepest feelings and needs. When it comes down to it, any MBTI personality type can cheat, but it is good to know that some personality traits may have a higher likelihood of doing so than others. Being a certain MBTI personality or not, it’s important to look out for signs of cheating on top of anything else, though the above definitely gives you something to think about, too. One-sided relationships occur when others take more than they give.
